"Stewball" 12 String; Stewart Port, 2003
Mahogany back and sides; Englemann spruce top; ebony bridge and fingerboard; french polished shellac finish. 26" scale length; neck width 1-15/16" at the nut; string spacing 2-3/8" at the bridge. Gotoh mini 16 to 1 tuners with pearloid buttons.
One of 8 made between 1995 to date, Inspired by 1920s Stellas and conversations with Marc Silber. Not exactly a copy (Eric Schoenberg calls it a "non-copy"), built like a Martin in construction quality and using the Stella's ladder bracing as a point of departure for design.
