Bruno Mandocello, likely Larson Bros. c.1920-1930

Only known example, similar to Maurer and Stahl branded mandolins and mandolas made by Larson Bros. in the 1930s. Carved spruce top; arched over braces Brazilian rosewood back. Typical Larson style half-depth fingerboad binding. Body width 15-1/4"; width at nut 1-3/4"; string spacing 2-9/32"; scale length 24-19/32" (625 mm). Appears to be all original. Offered in as is condition. Top unbroken, but showing some distortion at soundhole, with small cracks visible from interior at fingerboard edges. Numerous old repairs to treble side rib middle bout. 9" crack system on back, possible old repair. Sound old repair at heel. String height at 12th fret is 5/32—4/32". Tuners in good working order.
